What is Coffee Cupping?

Quite simply, coffee cupping is like wine tasting. It’s a controlled method for evaluating the flavors, fragrances and aromas in a cup of coffee. It’s used at all levels of the coffee supply chain – from the farm, to the importer, to roaster and the end buyer, to evaluate coffees on several levels.

And, quite frankly, it’s a ton of fun. Getting together with a bunch of friends and experiencing the great flavors in great coffee. What could be better than that?

Starting in January, we will be having regular coffee cuppings at the roastery in West Chicago. We will be announcing times and dates soon. In addition, FreshGround can come to your home or business and hold a coffee cupping for up to 8 of your closest friends. This is a fantastic way to learn more about the world’s most popular beverage.
